What is your current position at Digimind and what are your responsibilities?
"I currently serve as the Product Marketing Manager at Digimind, which comprises a wide range of responsibilities, from understanding the market to product launches. The ultimate goal is to ensure we position and match our products and releases to the needs of our client. We’ve got a lot cooking in the team, (a new release every 6 weeks!) and I strive to share that excitement, both internally and externally. This is partially accomplished with client-exclusive events, trainings, and go-to-market strategies. "
Can you tell us about your background at Digimind?
"For sure, it’s been a fun journey! I started at Digimind as a Marketing Intern in the Paris office during the final year of my Masters at Grenoble École de Management.
I was determined to stay after graduation, as I loved the company culture, the software, and the field of social and market intelligence. I wanted, at the time, to be more client-facing, thus, after talking to the managers in the services department, we worked out a deal where I could be on both the Consulting and Insight teams. This period served as an intense deep-dive into the world of Social Listening and Market Intelligence. As an analyst, I learned the ins and outs of our software by leveraging our tools to draw insights to present to our clients via periodic and ad-hoc reports. As a consultant, I focused on developing my expertise in the field to provide best practices, workshops, onboardings, and more to my clients.
Eventually, I transitioned to become a full-time consultant, as I realized that I enjoyed working with clients to determine how our solutions could match their needs and how to tackle their challenges.
In the back of my mind, I knew I wanted to get back to Marketing and apply all that I had learned. So, when the opportunity presented itself to fill the Product Marketing Manager role, I jumped. During this transition, I brought 3 important ingredients: my extensive knowledge of our products, our clients’ perspective, and prior Marketing knowledge. I look forward to developing the role further and launching our products “off the shelf”."
What was your first impression of Digimind and the Digiminders?
"Coming from a multicultural background (an American with Lebanese and Indian background), working in a global, diverse, company was important to me. That being said, working in France was a new experience for me at the time, and working in a new city is never easy. I’m so fortunate to say that I’ve had great guidance in the company and made many supportive friends, of whom I hang out with on the weekend, taken trips with, celebrated holidays, and more! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, one of the main aspects I love about Digimind is the people. They’ve made every transition easy for me, for which I’m very thankful."
How are Digimind's values (go getter, benevolent and entrepreneur) important to you?
"I find them in my everyday work. I love that Digimind encourages employees to lead initiatives, internal projects, and develop improved processes. Their trust and “go-getter” mindset has allowed me to have the path that I just detailed. It has allowed me to follow my interests and explore other points of view to apply to my current role.
Also, it’s simply motivating to be surrounded by individuals who support each other with “no-strings-attached”. It creates this “pay-it-forward” culture, where you want new hires to experience the same welcome that you had."
Why do you recommend working at Digimind?
"In short, the people, the trust, and the experience. Work is so much more enjoyable, when you are genuinely happy to see your colleagues’ faces on a Monday morning. The trust, that I previously mentioned, allows you to learn and quickly grow, as I have done. The learning experience and ability to explore your options has always been important to me and something I appreciate at Digimind.
And, as Product Marketing Manager, I have to provide another bonus reason: our products. I am proud of our strong position in the market, and it’s motivating to work for a company with such attractive solutions."
